To Whom It May Concern:
As your elected Supervisor for District #2 of the Broward Soil and Water Conservation District, I believe the best public policy is developed through collaboration, open communication, and a genuine willingness to listen to the people and organizations we serve.
The Broward Soil and Water Conservation District addresses issues involving water quality, conservation, environmental stewardship, natural resource management, resiliency, education, and strategic partnerships that affect the residents, businesses, and communities of Broward County. These issues often intersect with economic development, infrastructure, agriculture, public safety, education, and the long-term sustainability of our region.
I invite you to share any concerns, opportunities, recommendations, strategic initiatives, or proposed agenda items that you believe should be considered by the Board of Supervisors.
Your perspective is important. Whether you represent local, state, or federal government; the private sector; academia; nonprofit organizations; agriculture; environmental organizations; or the business community, your insight can help identify emerging challenges, foster innovative partnerships, and develop practical solutions that benefit Broward County and the State of Florida.
Examples of topics include:
Water conservation and resource management
Flood mitigation and stormwater infrastructure
Water quality improvement and environmental restoration
Public-private partnerships
Educational initiatives and workforce development
Agricultural and urban sustainability
Coastal resilience and emergency preparedness
Legislative priorities affecting conservation and natural resources
Innovative technologies and best management practices
Environmental permitting and regulatory concerns
Economic development initiatives that complement environmental stewardship
Community outreach and public education programs
Every submission will be carefully reviewed and, when appropriate, presented to the Board of Supervisors for discussion and consideration. We welcome ideas that encourage innovation, strengthen partnerships, improve public policy, and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Broward County.
