1. Hook (10 minutes)

On the board:“The biggest mistake people make is working to buy things that make them look rich instead of investing to become rich.” – Jaspreet Singh Ask:“What’s the difference between looking rich and being rich?”“What influences your spending habits today—social media, trends, or financial goals?”

2. Direct Instruction (20 minutes)

Teacher presents:

  • Who is Jaspreet Singh?Entrepreneur, lawyer, investor, and founder of Minority Mindset, a financial education brand that encourages people to "think different" about money.

  • The Minority Mindset Philosophy:

    • Don’t follow the crowd (consumer culture = spending, debt, instant gratification).

    • Pay yourself first — save and invest before you spend.

    • Budgeting is a tool for financial discipline.

    • Build income-generating assets.

  • New Reality for Students:
