Never Give Up: Starting Over Again (And Again)

At 25, I was living the American Dream. BMW. Brooks Brothers. Business ownership. International campaigns.

Then one day, stopped at a red light, an uninsured driver changed everything.

A catastrophic car crash left me with spinal and brain injuries. I had to relearn how to walk, talk, read, and write. Doctors were writing me off. A physician even told my (then-girlfriend, now wife) Teresa to move on, because I would “never recover.”

The Person I Was… and the Person I Became

The crash didn’t just take away my health. It stripped away the man I thought I was. But it forced me to build a stronger, more disciplined, more grateful version of myself — physically, personally, and professionally.

That could’ve been the end of my story. But it wasn’t. Today I live with a 25% full-body impairment and a serious heart condition. Yet I wake up thankful, every single day, that I woke up in the USA — with the chance to serve others.

Over the years, my heart has failed me — not once, not twice, but more. Skin cancer. Multiple hospitalizations. And yet… Here I am.

My Why: Family, Responsibility, and Country

I continue because I have a legacy to leave: personal responsibility, not dependency.

Because this is the greatest country God ever blessed — where the pursuit of happiness is written into our founding documents.

And because I refuse to squander the gifts I’ve been given.

What My Days Look Like Now

Most people don’t know that between doctor visits and treatments, I Teach financial literacy to 200+ students, equipping them for real life. Help small businesses keep their doors open and employees paid. Engage in political work to safeguard freedom and opportunity for future generations.

A Word to You, My Friend

Maybe you feel like you’re out of chances. Maybe life knocked you down — again.

If that’s you, hear me clearly: It’s okay to start over. Again and again.

If I’d chosen dependency, think of everything I would’ve missed.

You still have time. You still have purpose. And you still have the right to a seat at the table.

So — don’t give up. Don’t forget to give back. And above all, be thankful you woke up today in the USA.
