Washington: Good evening, sir. I am told you are a man who has stirred the Republic greatly—both loved and fiercely opposed.
Trump: That’s putting it mildly, General. Believe me, nobody gets more opposition than me. Fake news, nonstop attacks. But the people? Millions showed up. They still do.
Washington: Popularity is a fleeting wind. Duty, however, must stand firm. Tell me—do you believe you serve the office, or does the office serve the man?
Trump: The office serves the people. And I speak the way they speak. I don’t sugarcoat. America was getting taken advantage of—bad trade deals, weak borders, endless wars.
Washington: On this, we may find agreement. A nation that cannot defend its borders, its commerce, or its sovereignty will not remain a nation long.
Trump: Exactly. They called it “America First” like it was a bad thing. You fought a war for that idea.
Washington: I fought so that Americans would never again bow to distant powers who ruled without consent. Yet I warned against factions—they can tear a Republic apart from within.
Trump: Well, they’re tearing it apart, alright. Political parties, media, bureaucracy—half the government fights the other half. The swamp is real.
Washington: Power, once centralized beyond the people’s reach, becomes difficult to reclaim. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.
Trump: That’s why they hated me. I didn’t come from their system. I disrupted it.
Washington: Disruption is useful when corruption has taken root. But tell me—do you fear history’s judgment?
Trump: History’s written by the winners. But eventually, the truth comes out. Abraham Lincoln was hated too. So were you at times.
Washington (smiles slightly): Indeed. Leadership is often a lonely road. Yet the measure of a president is not applause, but whether the Republic stands stronger when he departs.
Trump:I rebuilt the military, secured the border, put America back on the map. I’d do it again.
Washington: Then may Providence judge your actions fairly. Remember—this nation was not founded for comfort, but for liberty. And liberty demands courage.
Trump: Courage I’ve got plenty of. The question is whether America still does.
Washington: That answer will be given not by presidents—but by citizens.
