📝 Welcoming Adam Cervera


First, let me thank each of you for showing up and attending the 8th Annual Broward County BBQ & Brew. Events like this remind me why Broward is such a remarkable place — full of hardworking, freedom-loving folks who care about their families and their community. A special thank you to Adam Cervera and his family for attending our event.


I had the distinct honor of introducing someone who embodies those very values — Adam Cervera.


Adam is a proud son of Broward County, a graduate of J.P. Taravella High School right here in Coral Springs, and a man who’s walked the walk — earning his law degree, building a successful career as a shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff, and giving back through charitable efforts like “Read to a Child.”


Most recently, Adam was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve as your Broward County School Board Member for District 6. His district includes Weston, Cooper City, Davie, and parts of Sunrise and Plantation — but make no mistake, his impact and example reach far beyond those lines.


He was sworn in just this past May to fill the seat vacated by Brenda Fam, and he’s already making waves — advocating for parental rights, school choice, values-based education, restoring trust, and raising expectations for every child in our district. That’s the kind of leadership we need more of — courageous, community-minded, and results-focused.

Adam, on behalf of everyone here tonight, thank you for saying “yes” to service. Thank you for standing up for our children and our families. You have a seat at our table — and our full support.


As we enjoyed another plate of ribs and maybe a second brew, Adam Cervera provided an insight into the Broward County School Board. On a personal note, Adam is one of my bosses. The above photo shows Adam engaging and listening to his constituents.
