The Nail That Stands Up
There is an old saying: “The nail that stands up gets pounded.” In America, history has shown us that standing tall for freedom, truth, conviction, and our Republic comes with great risk.
President Abraham Lincoln, President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Charlie Kirk all paid the ultimate price for their courage. In our own time, President Donald J. Trump and conservative leaders face relentless attacks—sometimes political, sometimes personal, and always meant to silence.
Today, many conservatives across America are doxed, their families threatened, and their reputations smeared across social media. The public square, once a place for healthy debate and honest disagreement, has become a battlefield where dissenting voices are met not with conversation, but with condemnation and assasination.
It may not be easy to be a conservative—or a Republican—in these times. The cost to the individual and their family is real. But freedom was never free, and liberty has always demanded courage. We must continue to stand, even when the hammer comes down or the shot is fired. The alternative is silence, and silence is surrender.
America was built on strong voices, brave hearts, and unwavering convictions. That’s what it will take to preserve her and our Republic.
